Circe Society Artists - Studio Space Available

 

Introduction

 

Circe Society Artists is a collective of women artists located in Madison, IN. Circe Society was founded in 2024 by owner and artist Sara Wines after the closing of its predecessor, Peddie & Fish Artist Collective.

 

We are located at 103 East Main Street. The building is home to a gallery and artists’ studios and also houses Lucky Penny Vintage, a woman-owned small business.

 

Studio Space

 

At this time, we have the opportunity to invite new members to join Circe Society Artists, become members of our collective, and share our creative space. Priority will be given to local women artists, but all artists are welcome to apply.

The building is composed of 4 rooms: the Gallery, Lucky Penny Vintage, Studio Room 1, and Studio Room 2.

 

Studio Room 1: Available - Studio A

 

Studio Room 1 contains a shared sink, has linoleum floors, and walls half of drywall and half of plaster. Sara (owner) already has her studio here taking up about half the room. The room is fully heated and cooled.

 

Studio Room 1 contains studios A and B. Studio B is currently occupied by Kelsey. However, Studio A could be available for the right artist/fit.

 

Studio B: $100/month

 

Studio Room 2: Available - Studios C, D, & E

 

Studio Room 2 contains a large industrial sink and shared storage. The walls are brick and the floors are concrete. The studios are separated into sections by moveable walls with a corridor to the back door. The room is not heated and cooled, but stays cool and comfortable in the summer. A small space heater would be advised for winter use.

 

Room 2 Studios: Each $75
